The proportion of people that vote for nominations in the dnb awards must be similar to the proportion of people that vote in the UK local and national elections, about 20%... A majority of the time a lot of us are shocked and disgusted by the outcome in the dnb awards (not all the time).. However if UKIP or some other racist chumps found their way into the driving seat of our country, which is already the way its leaning in the current climate then unfortunately feeling disgusted or shocked is not going to make up for the fact that fundamentally we failed because we didnt give a shit... Luckily the outcome of the dnb award is minor to say the least in comparison, and is just an example, congrats to the winners of course!... However we never seem to learn from clear examples of just why we should give a shit!... If we let this beautiful, multicultural, (semi) liberal country fall into the hands of the wrong people, which, lets be honest is what we do most elections, then eventually its going to be toooo late, with only one thing left to do!! Kick all those racist chumps in the nuts, put them on a boat with no food or water and send it out to sea never to be seen again... But lets be honest it would be a DISGRACE! Time to start Giving a shit. Sorry for such a shoddy example...
