The prototype of this building was originally part of a block of four-story rowhouses in Troy. (You can make out the bottom of the third-story windows.) The model is almost finished but is lacking the simple grid pattern of the first floor. (what are there are simply colored printouts.) Hopefully these will be laser-cut soon. The second photo shows Tom Washbon holding our red-and-white scaling stick against the corner of the building c. 1973, when this was the only remaining building still standing at this point. The third photo was taken by Jim Shaughnessy c. mid-1950s, from atop Tower No. 2 (similar to Tower No. 1 seen in the background). This is the D&Hs ore train heading through the depot area enroute to the blast furnace in south Troy. Note the heavy ore is only loaded a fraction of the volume of an ordinary coal hopper, and heaped over the truck centers. The last photo shows a c. 1895 image of the original building and the late-steam version superimposed. - JN
