The public has a right to be concerned about the Vikings stadium. - TopicsExpress

The public has a right to be concerned about the Vikings stadium. While I support the stadium being in Minneapolis, I have concerns about the financing plan. That being said, I believe the stadium is moving forward and we need to focus on how to make it work the best for all of us. I think the anger about the financing is overshadowing some of the excellent work being done with regards to the stadium. As mayor, I am committed to an open/transparent process with maximum neighborhood/community participation. As mayor, my goals are: 1. to ensure maximum employment/contracting opportunities for city residents; 2. development that is green, sustainable, open and accessible; 3. any development around the site provides housing opportunities for all income ranges; 4. any development around the site involves employment and tax base growth. There is an excellent plan in place to ensure maximum participation in the workforce by women/minority contractors and construction workers Said Mayoral Candidate Jackie Cherryhomes.
