The goals was to dial in decent tone at a manageable level on the Super Reverb, so I did a side by side with the Deluxe Reverb, which has proven to be ideally suited for small gigs. Used my refurbished 54 gold top, original P90s. No pedals, just an a/b/y setup. Nice bite. Will have to dial in the Super for a little more attack, but beyond that the volume levels were pretty similar--the Super has more bandwidth, so it feels more omnipresent--4 x 10 speakers, after all--given the fact that the Deluxe was at 5 (13 watts as opposed to the 45 watts in the Super), Id say the Super is ready to go for medium level gigs.....
