The question has been raised again about where we are in the book, whats the required reading, etc. so I thought it was a good time to reiterate the open format I prefer to follow. Danielle originally laid out about 5 meeting outlines with suggested readings. I run the group much more informally than that for a number of reasons. First and foremost, I envision this group continuing long past half a dozen meetings. Second, because I want this to be a fluid experience. I want people to feel welcome at *any* point during our journey and to be assured they will not be behind or lost. What does this look like in real life? Mostly it means we get together and just talk. Lol. Really, though, thats about how it works. We talk about Core Desired Feelings (CDFs), philosophize, answer questions others in the group have about the process, how we apply CDFs in life, getting un-stuck, you name it. The topics change depending on where the group is at the time. If you prefer more structure, I believe I posted links to Danielles suggested readings earlier on this wall. I will try to remember to post them all as Notes or some such thing so theyre easier to find. In the meantime, regardless of where anyone is in the process feel free to just jump right in! And, NO, you do NOT have to read anything before attending! If youre are brand new to the whole Desire Map process, come anyway! If you want a quick jumpstart, preview Danielles website along witg some of her short videos because together they do a great job of conveying the basic premise while leaving you anxious to find out more. :) Some next steps could be to follow her suggested readings at your own pace and come to the group to talk about it, to ask questions, etc. And if you already have your CDFs? Jump in and help decide where our group conversations go! Bottom line is that we are set up purposefully to allow all levels along the continuum. We have people brand new to the Desire Map and we have people who have utilized the system for more than a year. Honestly, the variety of levels is what gives it flavor and keeps it even more exciting. So, come one, come all. We would love to add you and your CDFs to our mix! - Lorie
