The real inconvenient truth (that even Im reluctant to address because I know most people dont want to hear it, let alone accept it): today, the meat industry already produces more greenhouse gas emissions than all cars, planes, trains and ships combined, and at the current pace, meat consumption is on track to rise 75% by 2050. If we REALLY want to address climate change we have to cut all livestock subsidies - now - and reduce our meat consumption by, well, ninety percent. Otherwise, nothing we do will matter. The good news: we dont need to eat meat daily. In fact, its unhealthy to eat meat daily. The bad news: try explaining that to people who eat meat daily. #klimaatzaak
