The reason why I dont like the whole cosplay celebrity thing or shows like heroes of cosplay, is not because I think it will destroy the community, but more to the effect that I feel that it misrepresents me and what I do. My family, friends, an co-workers who dont have anything to do with my hobby and community see things like half naked (or less) women or silly stuff on tv and naturally think thats how things are in this hobby... whether they are or not, thats the perception. And I do not like that that aspect of this culture as the main identification for costuming and in my case charity work. Im just very tired of it. These are my thoughts, and you may not agree with them but Im entitled to my opinions just as much as the next person.
