The reason you need a Pastor (Shepherd) is because pastors have been called and sent to feed you with knowledge and understanding. It is their specific calling (assignment, responsibility). It is very important for your soul. You should want to submit to the pastor because they speak to your destiny. Do not be fooled. In these last days, there are many who look and sound like pastors but are they after Gods heart by teaching you Gods way through the Word? Or or they seeking to please themselves and really leading people away from God? Pastors - after Gods heart - speak/teach the Word of God that literally speaks to your heart and calls something out of you in order to help you reach the divine purpose for which you were created. Find your Pastor, submit to his authority and grow in the Word so you can apply it to your life right here on earth while you wait (in expectation) for that Blessed hope of eternity.
