The recent (May) Readers Digest shows how a publication with an axe to grind allows or commissions its writers to misrepresent the truth ... The cover story discusses how superstitious people who believe in curses are taken advantage of by people who claim to be psychics ... The implication is that all psychics prey on those who believe in this way ... That is like saying, Dont go to a doctor because all doctors are only after your money and will claim to heal you when they cannot ... The truth is no respectable psychic would claim to lift curses that do not exist in the first place ... The Australian Psychics Association (now the International Psychics Association) has for the last thirty years warned people not to pay exorbitant amounts of money to people masquerading as psychics offering to remove so-called curses ... All our members know that if they are caught out doing this they will immediately void their membership ... Likewise, we advise readers to not waste good money buying magazines that do not research their writers thoroughly ...
