The recent focus on Isis and the furor over its brutality seems to have been driven, specifically, by the reporting of the beheading of two journalists, and generally, by the forced imposition of Sharia law. While I certainly dont mean to minimize the horror of the journalists barbaric deaths, nor do i in any way think we should do anything other than obliterate ISIS from the map, still does anyone else see the irony in the US seeking out strategic alliances with the Saudis in this fight when Saudi Arabia enforces strict adherence to Shaira law for both citizens and foreigners alike??? For example, LAST MONTH ALONE, eight people were beheaded in Saudi Arabia as a normal course of justice for non-violent crimes in the kingdom. THESE are the allies we seek to fend off ISIS??? WTF???
