The refereed journal, Australian Art Education, is the official publication of Art Education Australia. Australian Art Education is devoted to the scholarly examination of issues in the field of Visual Arts education in Australia and internationally. Papers that deal with significant topics are welcome as are contributions from people working in areas other than Visual Arts education, per se. The journal is interested in philosophical and historical material as well as research studies. Papers dealing with the development of new theoretical approaches to the understanding of issues in Visual Arts education and visual culture are especially welcome. Articles are refereed through blind peer review. Australian Art Education is published twice a year and is available to financial members of Art Education Australia. call for papers AAE welcomes the submission of a wide range of theoretical and research-based papers examining issues, ideas and developments in Visual Arts education at all levels. Visual essays and image-rich submissions are encouraged, as are works that exemplify arts-based research in all its forms.
