The relatively unknown Gorge Lakes in Rocky Mountain National - TopicsExpress

The relatively unknown Gorge Lakes in Rocky Mountain National Park. To get to them youll have to hike cross country through some of the most beautiful terrain in Rocky Mountain National Park. These lakes are located just off the Continental Divide east of Mt. Ida. So if you are skilled at off trail navigation through rugged terrain, and you want to take the path least traveled, these may be the lakes for you. The Gorge Lakes are comprised of Highest Lake, Azure Lake, Inkwell Lake, Doughnut Lake, Arrowhead Lake, Love Lake, Rock Lake, Little Rock Lake, Forest Lake and a few unnamed Tarns. This trip would be for experienced hikers only who would be well advised to talk to the folks at the Backcountry Office (970-586-1242) prior to embarking on this adventure.
