The religion of Islam exists on the performance of five basic actions which are stated in the hadith. The first basic or fundamental act directs us to believe in God and His massenger, which means to obey the messages revealed to us by Allah through His messenger. The word witness or testimony signifies that our action have to be within the frame of what Allah and His messenger have directed us to do. The performance of prayers at five times a day is compulsory for muslims an it is the second fundamental thing in Islam. Under no circumstances a beliver is exampted from saying the prayer. The third important thing is Zakat which means giving out the shere of the poor from the wealth of the rich. It has to be given to the deserving people by the rich. The fourth basic aspect of Islam is performance of Hajj. This as you know has to be done once in ones life time by those who can afford to. The fifit basic is the fasting to be observed during the month of Ramadan every year. Anyone who neglects or rejects any of these five fundamental principles is considered as the destroyer of the bullding of Islam. Happy Jumah to all muslim brothers and sisters.
