The response to my blog post has been overwwhelming. I have dozens...dozens of personal replies and thank yous which I will attend to bit-by-bit over the next several days. As far as where things are: I experienced my first CAT Scan today, and it was a sobering, intimidating experience. Its easy to block out whats going on your body until you lay down in that thing. I dont know the results, and I dont know when I will know them. I only know they are the key at this point. My understanding from the doctors and staff is that I will find out whether Im dealing with one mass in the colon or whether Im fighting something thats spread. Once we know that, then I think well know the questions on my mind: What stage? When is the surgery? Will I undergo chemo-therapy? Right now, I know none of that. In the meantime, Im going to live on. First Friday is tomorrow, and Im still going to play in the local golf tournament. Ill probably see plenty of you out and about. Again, I will reach out to many of you soon. Your words, thoughts, and genuine concern reminds me more than ever how lucky I am and how blessed my life has been. This amazing little nowhere town is full of some of the greatest people Ive ever known. Ill see you all soon!
