The restoration of agricultural lands, which were negatively impacted by the May 2012 pipeline rupture, is nearly complete. About 9,200 cubic yards (or more than 260 tractor-trailer loads) of topsoil were imported to restore nearly 25 acres of farmland. The total cost of the rupture is estimated at $1.27 million, including remediation activities, engineering and other specialists, and legal costs. Nearly $600,000 in damage compensation paid to landowners.
