The results are in, and it looks like they track along party lines. I am sorry to have lost, but happy to have had the chance to serve as a Town Justice. I look forward to finishing my term at the end of December. I thank all those who helped me, voted for me and put up with me, starting with my wife, Beth. It isnt easy when your partner is out at night and on the weekends campaigning, but she was great. Not in any particular order, I thank my friends Sharon Mattsson, Bob Berrian and Tim & Ethan Cerqua who helped distribute fliers door to door. Dan Carpenter gave sound political counsel. Jim Jennings spread the word and drove the roads with me putting up law signs and otherwise providing moral support. Tom Vincent designed my lawn sign (which was the best design I saw out there this year). Faith St. John designed and produced my fliers with talent and flair. She tolerated innumerable changes and offered great editorial advice. Kim Wilson kept track of the very limited money we had to spend and kept me on course. Adam Staier designed and maintained the campaign website and brought much needed tech advice to the campaign. Thanks to all of you who read and shared these posts. If I left anyone out, I didnt mean to. Thanks to all. I dont believe in the system that allows lay people on the bench, but for now it is what we have. I was hoping yesterdays vote would change our Town Court, but despite the good effort the message didnt break thru party lines (with a few exceptions). I congratulate Dan Waldron and hope he does well.
