The results of the Mornington Singers Composition Competition have been announced! First prize €600: Mark Armstrong, Dreaming Second prize €400: Seán Doherty, Under-Song Third prize €200: Eoin Mulvany, Is úar geimred Our congratulations to the winners, and thank you to all the composers who submitted a work. The three winning works will be performed at our St. Cecilias Day concert on 22nd November in Dublin (venue to be announced). We will also be reading a selection of the submitted pieces at a composers workshop on Saturday 18th October, 2pm to 5pm, at the church of St. George and St. Thomas, Cathal Brugha St., Dublin. This workshop will be open to the public, and we will be aiming for a good deal of constructive and enjoyable interaction between choir members and the composers.
