The rich man`s answer ! . There is a gap in our prosperity, a gap we cannot hide, So we create `austerity`, to bridge this great divide, It is a class less situation, but we do not share the pain, Because the workers of this country, are the ones who take the pain. We have to tax the poorest, we have to make them pay, We must remove ambition here, we must take all that away, And when that class is broken and we see their great demise, It is then us, `caring gentlemen`, - will award ourselves a rise. We cannot let this `payments gap` affect the way we live, We must squeeze the worker ruthlessly, till he has no more to give, And when we have drained all worth from him, when the worker is no good, We will take it one step further, we will have that worker`s blood. The Partridge will be rising soon, the Stag is on the moor, The Champagne`s in the chiller, the lock is on the door, Our fire is burning brightly still, our wallets are still fat, Who cares about, `austerity`, - we want no part of that !
