The ridiculous picture of HIV on the cover of the site AIDSruth.org , that tries so hard to debunk HIV dissidents. Presumably the owners of the site AIDSTruth believe that this lends credence to the existence of HIV on the basis of the particles shown. This is a picture done in a scanning electron microscope (SEM ), then the color has been enhanced using a computer (retroviral particles and the cells are not green or red ... ). The image does not include its source (the patient, the type of cell culture, the scientific article and the publication of which it would be part) and does not have a bar of size in nanometers in the lower right. Without this as a reference, the most fundamental properties of retroviral particles, the diameter can not be determined . SEM is also ill suited for the study of surface characteristics, not of the internal structures of the particles and cells. However , without knowing the presence or absence of a nucleus and its morphology, as well as other internal morphological characteristics, it is not possible to claim these particles as a retrovirus . The resolution is low and for this reason it is not possible to determine if the particles have the spikes / knobs . We thought that scientists at AIDSTruth would use their best picture available to support the existence of the virus that has killed more than 25 million people around the world ...
