The road leading to LOCO works station from Railway hospital, Perambur is battered one with deep pot holes and damaged stretches presenting virtually unmotorable. This road is the vital link for the residents of Periyar nagar,Kolathur,Thiru.vi.ka Nagar and agaram to reach Ayanavaram,Anna nagar,Kilpauk etc.Thousands of motorists using this road day in and day out, cursing and fuming. Lack of lighting and width add to their woes compounded by Dilapidated condemned sheds on both the sides, posing security threats to late night motorists. After the opening of Extended LOCO works bridge, things have improved, but the narrow mouth opp.to General stores depot of S.Rly is creating traffic chaos.When all the other Railway roads were relaid and being maintained, this particular stretch is presenting pathetic look. The Railways should come forward to mend this road at least for the sake of Railway employees of I.C.F,Loco and Carriage works who use round the clock.
