================================== The sacrificial chamber was entirely made of stone. The room had an opening in the ceiling; a giant hole, that you could also barely make out because of how high up it was. Directly below the hole in the ceiling, there was a hole in the ground. A very big, black hole. There were steps leading up to just over the center of the hole, to a circular platform. Surrounding the hole were carved out seats much like the early roman theatres. After several rows up, there was a covering, and stairs up to another level of seating rows on top of the covering; with pillars dividing off sections, and then another covering and another level of seating. It was all very open, however. The walls gave the room a shallow feeling and you had a very good view of the platform from anywhere in the room. And then ? , the nurses ask. And then, the wind comes down in and takes the sacrifice , the guide says. To where? , the nurse asks. Down , the guide says . youtube/watch?v=CdqoNKCCt7A
