The saddest sight I came upon today: two women in their thirties - TopicsExpress

The saddest sight I came upon today: two women in their thirties washing their dirty linen - in the public eye - in the church compound I visited today. A fully-robed Catholic priest was standing in their midst, an ignored figure of peace. And what made it even sadder was that they were taunting each other over the fact that their respective ASSets and their respective abilities to keep aBREAST of situations had gone south like migrant ducks. And some peeps were even entertained by it all - I saw their faces. Mein Gott. I do not know why some people have to place their self-worth on the condition of their bodies. What is wrong with bobby and baka obeying the laws of nature by drooping as age progresses? Why expect to perpetually be sweet sixteen in this life of ours? As they argued and casted each other, I could not help remembering the envy a friend of mine displayed some years ago regarding my (unremarkable) height and the size of my third limb. What the Shekau? We are what we are. God made us fearfully and wonderfully, my Bible tells me. Own your body and be proud of it, Metuh-dammit. In the end, we will all turn to dust and dry bones. Nothing else will matter. Selah. *pats pot-belly and yam-tuber head proudly - owning your body mechanisms*
