The safety net for orphaned and injured wildlife in San Diego - TopicsExpress

The safety net for orphaned and injured wildlife in San Diego County just got a lot stronger. Project Wildlife, the only local emergency center for injured wildlife, has merged with the San Diego Humane Society and SPCA to ensure the continuation of its lifesaving work. Their integration of resources and expertise made sense: the humane society has historically assisted in transporting injured wildlife and directing citizens to appropriate help for wild animals in need. Project Wildlife receives up to 300 injured or sick animals weekly during the busy baby animal season. (Photo by Stef ~)
