The saga continues...Gratitude challenge day three... 3) Youtube - This may be one of the greatest things ever created on the internet. Where else can you find live performances of Thad and Mel with the big band in Munich? There is so much nostalgia and great things that we never had access to until people started putting them out into this incredible repository. Need to hear an out of print recording? Youtube. Want to see a movie clip of a great/classic scene? Youtube. Need to fix a household appliance? Uh-huh. How about a cat getting its teeth brushed? You guessed it! I have posted a few things as reference recordings or things that send great messages or make me (and hopefully you) laugh. Probably the most stunning and overwhelming thing Ive ever seen is included below. Not only did it really bring a tear to my eye because of its absolute inhuman level of power and volume created by my family of instruments, I wish I could have been part of it!!! Long live Youtube and the joys it brings. Do yourself a favor and find the absolute best sound system you can, click the link below, crank up the bass and volume on your stereo and literally shake the foundation of your house and your life :-) 2) Karma - Many people call her a mean mistress. In many ways, she is the great equalizer. One thing you dont want to do is make her mad or deceive her because the price for such actions is steep. I have been very fortunate to have only had to learn a few really big lessons from some bad decisions. because of those experiences, I try to be the best and most positive person I can be. I work hard to push good karma knowing that when you give positive, you get positive. Its how I know that things between Lizzy (my daughter) and I will one day get better and all of the wrongs and negative karma that was created over the past five years toward our once strong relationship will be atoned for. 1) Providing opportunities and supporting people - At my core I am a musician and a teacher. I love to share knowledge and music. There is something so rewarding when you see someone that you have helped understand something they were struggling with, achieve a goal or realize something about themselves they never knew they could achieve. I love to give students and friends the chance to be a part of the unbelievable fun that my life can be with opportunities I am given. This is another example of paying it forward. I was given the gifts and opportunities to learn and experience many wonderful things because of my friends, students, teachers and people who simply had an interest in me as a person. I am so very thankful for this and I keep myself aware of it every day. Thats all for now. If I were actually fluent in it, tomorrows post would be in German. Since Im not, Ill stick to the language I know best. Until then I leave you with my most common golf word....FORE!!
