The saga of Faye Schoonover Isenhart v/s Super 8 of Bridgeport continues. I saw this one & thought ??? No one asked for a discount & she was paying via credit card so no billing was required. I think they were trying to cover their butts but they need to keep their story honest!!!! The Bridgeport Super 8 is in no way disrespective to any nationalities, race, creed, religion and most definitely not to verterans. Our hotel like most all hotel/motels in the area do not rent to locals - meaning living within a 50 mile radius of the hotel. This was implemented by the recommendation of the local authorities. It has eliminated most all vandilism and drug-related issues. Our goal was to provide our guest a safe environment during their stay with us. We have addressed the issue in regard to individual who may be in the area for due to friends or family visiting the local VA Hospital. We ask that upon making a reservation we are notified that it for this purpose and upon check-in you provide documentation on hospital letter head; this simply allows up to maintain the policy that we have instituted over the course of the last several years as well as gives exception to those who have bravely served our company. Upon presentation of the letterhead an additional 25% discount will be applied as a token of our appreciation to those who have bravely served our country. Should you have future questions, please feel free to contact the Bridgeport office and ask to speak directly to the Executive Director My comment back: The lady (my aunt) was paying in FULL by her credit card so no to someone who asked if it was due to the payment arrangement. Now as for the below..... from your hotel to the ladies front door is over 50 miles. You can easily verify that on any map or by calling a AAA facility & asking so that blows that idea. LOCALS means 50 miles according to you though. We had no issue with ANY type of discount, so where that came from is beyond me also. I really think that because this has been shared on FB over 1,200 time you might have tried to cover the truth by making it look as though she couldnt pay or wanted a discount, I assure you she sis not care about the price. She stays in hotels several times a month & PAYS for them. I think you have infuriated me for the second time with your accusations of the payment & the discount comments.
