What tryouts will be: • There will be three judges: Two are sponsors and one will be either a coach from a local high school dance team or a studio choreographer. (Remember to smile at them!) • You will try out with one or two other girls. (If you have no one to come with then we will match you up with someone, unless you want to try out alone.) • You will come into your audition and say your full name. • You will do the dance twice in a row. • Catch your breath, show the judges how high of right and left kick you have, then do a toe touch. • If you can do any of the splits please feel free to do so. • Can you do any tricks? Example: An illusion/cartwheel/summersault/ flip. Please inform and show the judges. (This will not determine if you make the team but will be towards your benefit to share.) • Then you’re done with tryouts! And the club team will be posted or emailed to you in the next week or so! Some things to think about… • Can you still do dance club if you’re in sports? Ask your coach if they are ok with it, otherwise there should be no practice conflicts! • Can I try out even if I have no dance background? Of course you can! This club is meant to be fun and entertaining! So come on and try if you’re willing to put in those two times a week and performances!
