The saga of the sticker machine/vinyl plotter... saved and saved for it (they are hella expensive) and couldnt get it to work. I called/was on the phone with tech support at least 4 times if not more, 10+ emails... guy kept saying it was user error (my fault.) I finally begged Dan to talk to tech support - thinking maybe I just wasnt understanding something correctly. They guy tells Dan - OH, your machine is missing parts and the plotter arm is broken. WTF? So.. they wanted me to ship it back (at my cost) and repair it... which, with shipping times would have taken 3-8 weeks. I wrote a very polite email to the company I bought it from (different than the one that shipped) and explained my situation ... look, I know I was wrong to take orders for stuff but I assumed I would be able to hit the ground running - now I have a lot of orders that now wont ship for god knows how long. Im a small non-profit and get frustrated easily, wasnt trying to take it out on them. Explained the tech support issues. I was really nice, because - after all - it wasnt their fault tech support sucked ass. ANYWAY, after reviewing all my tech support calls - they are sending me a NEW machine - twice as big - at the same cost as my little one. They apologized for the gender bias. Told them, that I didnt see it that way - I just thought that with Dan being an IT man - they spoke the same language. Whew....HOPEFULLY, my new machine will be here soon :) AND hoping it doesnt have any issues.
