The sanctimony espoused by some SAlt members is unreal. Their lefter-than-thou attitude speaks volumes about their political character considering that theyve limited themselves to being little more than a public lobby group based out of Murray Street Mall. Selling newspapers, attending rallies, and hosting discussion groups sounds more like youre trying to lobby the powers that be to listen to your view, rather than directly affect the political processes of this nation by trying to influence politicians in Parliament. If you were trying to do the aforementioned, youd run candidates for parliament or at the very least be willing to use violence for a political end. I am falible, so would someone care to explain to me how their methods transpire into something meaning? Call the ALP whatever you like, at the very least, and in spite of our various failings, it has made a positive difference in the lives of the working class of this nation.
