The screening at Northwestern went great; the students really enjoyed it & asked some great questions: "Mr. Shakur what role did religion play in you staying out?" "None at all because I am not a religious person, but spirituality played a huge role because I am very spiritual. " Then afterwards had an impromptu meeting with the school board: "Mr. Shakur how do you think you can impact the teachers?" "Teachers have been educated to teach the students math, science & language arts & I can prepare the teachers to be better by teaching them strategies to help the students overcome the social ills that plagues them from succeeding academically!" I believe I left a great first impression....Big shout out to the prison for making it happen; we about to save, change & inspire some lives!
