The second priority for a disciple of “the Way” is: Where to go. Become a follower. The priority is no what to believe! In fact if you want you can believe in a stone, a tree, or a dog... For me, My Jesus in fact, never asked anyone to believe in him with their head. (He never asked anyone, and anyone who said he did, knows shit about Jesus.) He in fact never asked anyone to love him with their heart. What he did was ask people to follow him with their feet. Why? Because where your feet go, your heart and your head will follow and go as well... I love the call and the striking factors in the story of the call of the first disciples.. 1.) The person is described in their location. 2.) For no stated reason, they receive a call. 3.) The call is to move their location and occupation. 4.) The call is to an unknown future. 5.) The figure behind each call is Jesus. 6.) The called people move out to a different occupation. Blows your mind, if you think it through. I never though I could do such a thing. For me at first it was not a call. It was an action and discipline in change; I was a prisoner in the Norfolk Prison in Mass.; Looking in the mirror and seeing the animal I had become was not a pleasant sight. I had nearly killed a guy, I think that particular day, and I was about to have a visit with my children. What kind of Dad had I become? I had lost nearly everything and I really did not care for one thing except the kids I had. I hated the world, myself and I would have just a soon died. I had no concern about the victims for the stupid prison had made me a victim, I blamed every thing and everyone for my shitty life.
