The second teaser for you to read and give feed back on :) (KEZZA) As the apartment block lobby door swung open, sounds and smells blew Aric away. By now after living there for well over two years you would expect him to be used to the surroundings of the city that never sleeps, that was not the case. The diversity in food and culture meant that every day was like experiencing a new world. Aric stared deep into the people passing just below the stairs he was aloft before he could make any conclusions or plans of movement. The target an arrogant corporate giant named Martin Solar; Aric’s boss knew that the guy had some info that could help stop some cop raid on one of our most important agent’s. Martin was meeting Shifters a local druggy that have messed with some big crime lords of NY, the deliverance is supposed to be held near some market on 41st avenue that resided maybe a 20 minute walk from Aric’s flat. Taking fast steps towards the pavements edge Aric’s mind told him that the walk may be the assignments downfall, with that in mind it was time to get a cab but not the usual way. 10 seconds flew by before he spotted a yellow cab coming down the bustling street, there were hundreds of people milling past him so he knew he could not pull off his little stunt let’s say in front of all these people. “Playing it cool is the key here” quieter than a whisper the words slid from his rough lips. Punching the sky with one of his arms to alert the driver to his presence, the cab screeched as the brakes worked hard and the car pulled up just in front of him. With a fairly loud hum the window wound down to reveal the driver’s deep voice “Where you headed fella?” he was a rather large bloke with no hair but had a respectful goatee. Arms bulging with muscle and he wore sports shorts and a tank top. Aric responded with a formal voice “You won’t know the place” the man slowly rotated his head to face Aric, a slight agitation upon his face and the same could be said for his new tone “I’m a taxi driver I think I will know my friend” A forced smile appearing to hide his dislike. “Just trust me on this one alright, you won’t” Aric said with a playful yet convincing grin spreading across his face. Sighing with deep thought and a look at the stone pavement the driver concluded “Alright get in”, with that Aric opened the back door and slouched into the backseat directly behind the driver. Only a few streets they had travelled down before the car took the turn that Aric had planned straight into the quiet side street “another left just here” the cab pulled into a very tight side alley with no view of the main road, the only things close by where bins and old newspaper fluttering past in the wind. “This dunna look right you must be pullin me legarrggghhh” Aric flung his arm around the man’s neck from behind and begun to squeeze as hard as he could. Squirming and trying to bite out at Aric putting up as much as a fight as he could. With a sudden burst of strength the driver jolted forward causing Aric to slam straight into the plastic back of the head rest. Again and again Aric’s head smashed into the head rest with horrendous thuds and searing pain forcing him to release the bulky driver. A loud screech filled the cab as the driver threw open his door and headed for the back door, a disorientated Aric came to his senses and slid over to the side of the car and jumped out of the cab. The alley was dank and surrounded by tall blocks of rough looking flats and encased on all sides expect the way they came in. Water covered the floor in wide puddles from the recent rain and dripped from the murky brown brickwork of the walls around Aric. With his head pounding and eyes dizzy he could just make out the large man running towards him fists aloft and eyes a rage “I’m gonna fackin crack ya head in” shouting at the top of the lungs the driver lunged for Aric. His senses increasing back to the way they were Aric rolled out the way of the first blow missing it by inches, rushing to his feat he spun to face his opponent reading his fists and twisting into a fighting stance. Aric was trained in all different forms of fighting and martial arts, his most favoured of which is KC which he learned after watching Batman Begins and inspired him into learning that particular form of combat. With a bellowing roar another heavy blow was undertook by the driver, Aric crouched with lightning speed under the blow and performed four heavy punches into the man’s chest with great precision easily winding even a man of the driver’s size. Coughing and spluttering the man curled up but before he could lie down Aric grabbed the man by the neck with the grip of a crocodile and began to ram the man’s face into a large green recycle bin covered in stains and grime of the many years of rubbish piled into it. The impact of the first hit sent blood splattering over the floor and bin, the second shot multiple yellow teeth across the floor with a chattering of bone filling the silent air. Upon the third hit the driver was rendered unconscious and slipped from Aric’s hand and thud as it hit the blood speckled concrete. “You clearly did not know this street did you” Aric said as he grinned and turned to face the cab.
