The second week of April is shaping up nicely. Tuesday, April 8: bass clarinet master Calvin Falwell is flying up from Florida to perform the piece commissioned by three universities entitled Fine Tune for bass clarinet and percussion ensemble, at West Chester University. Then Wednesday, April 9 I am putting on a faculty recital at The University of the Arts, performing the recent jazz tunes with Joel Frahm, John Swana, Matt Davis, Micah Jones, and Erik Johnson. Plus on that concert Reginald Pindell and Annette Dimedio will perform my Little Requiem song cycle in memory of those lost in Newtown, CT. Sunday, April 13: The Philadelphia Chorus will perform my In Time Of Silver Rain at The Trinity Center for Urban Life. Looking forward to that week!
