The shift to the right wing in this country came with Reagan. He was a an adroit story teller. And, FOX News started up as a propaganda channel for the right wing.. The right wing gradually decimated the communication channels in this country that rallied people together with a sense of national pride -- public school teachers and professors - unions - and independently owned media. Look at the demise and disarray of those three elements and trace the trajectory of the loss of political influence of liberals in this country. Understand what privatizing education and nationalizing "right to work" laws, as ALEC is working to do - will accomplish. Understand that the Fourth Estate is almost dead. We are the media, now. The so-called media is mostly corporate PR. So.. what are we going to do, to turn things around?
