The short version of my medical condition, the need for a total hysterectomy. I will have surgery on December 9. If you want more info you can continue reading. Now I am reflecting on what has gone on the past 3 months. At the beginning of September, when I began fixing up the house of my deceased x mother in law, I had an abundance of energy. 7 weeks later my energy had greatly decline and I felt like I needed to sit down frequently. Then the pain in my lower abdomen became intense. On October 30 I went to the hospital, waited in emergency feeling I had another bout of diverticulitis. I’d had 2 such attacks in the past in 2011 and 2012. I was expecting just the usual treatment of intravenous fluid and antibiotics, as I had in Fiji and Florida. Here in Windsor, Canada I was given a cat scan. When I read the results I had a strong feeling that I would go under the knife before the end of the year. Sever diverticulitis, grossly distended uterus, spot on liver and one of my kidneys. November has been a month filled with doctor visits, trips to the hospital and lab tests, 9 visits total. There was fluid in my uterus like a very large blister that the gynecologist popped and I am still draining. I asked him to write out the diagnosis so I could look it up on the internet, complex endometrial hyperplasia with atypia possible adenocarcinoma. Anyway he said it was pre-cancerous. I found a youtube video that is like the operation I will have. This womans uterus is much more enlarged than mine. But I do need to be cut open. Cannot do it vaginally. For those of you who find this interesting here is a series of videos https://youtube/watch?v=inK0LdkUKGI&index=3&list=PLF70CD1FAD10E8ED6
