The shortage of fuel and its impact on the economy... The shortage of fuel and its impact on the economy... Since Wednesday, there has been shortage of fuel in around Accra. There is only one petrol station that serving people living in about 10 towns in Adenta municipality: Trasacco, Ashley Botwe, Adenta, East Legon, Bawuleshie, Madina and so on. Major streets leading to central Accra were virtually empty. I didnt see the number of cars you see during rush hour. I thank God there was not traffic, but on second thought, I realized how this fuel shortage is severely having an impact on the people and the economy. Just imagine for the past three days, you can find one single petrol station in Accra that can serve you petrol...very scary....the Americans will go to war to prevent someone from disrupting their energy supplies...but in Ghana here...it is just the normal business...you go to petrol station and you will see people screaming, fighting, confusion every where to get fuel.....my friends these govt people treating us like dogs.... Does Mahama govt truly understand the seriousness about this issue. Do they truly understand how this is having an impact on the economy. Why did his govt fail to pay the Oil Bulk Distributor, so they can also meet their financial obligations, so they can supply the public with fuel....didnt his govt anticipate this problem?. I am trying to understand how this govt operates. They wait until the situation get worse, before they try to do something about it. Where is the vision?, the planning? and the execution?. Are these people clueless about how to govern this country. Can we continue to leave it up to God or pray that some miracles happen to solve this problem. This crisis is simply the inept of leadership and management and failure of the govt to keep its commitment to the people. What do we do to correct this mismanagement and injustice?
