The single most damaging effect of this lack of cooperation from the government and misleading comments to highlight their faults away from themselves and place it on native people is the racism it creates within mainstream Canadians. That was my message to the minister when we delivered the messages to #honourtheapology. The other message was, for the government to give full disclosure of everything it has done to native people right away, so we may begin the reconciliation. For too long reconciliation has been led by native people and it remains one-sided. Its time for the Government to create that momentum to the the citizens that reconciliation is important and it must be priority.
