The socio-economic changes rippling through #Africa are clear indication of the continent taking a more prominent status on the global stage. Since 2001 Africa has recorded an average annual real GDP growth rate of 5% or more. At the same time, inflation decreased from 25% to 6% in 2013, and the external debt ratio has declined from 60% to 25%. The DRC, Ethiopia, Mozambique and Tanzania are well over 7% annual growth while Nigeria, Uganda, and Zambia are roughly at 6%.
