The squat clean and press with a heavy medicine ball is an excellent way to increase power and explosiveness for any athlete. The ball requires you to have outstanding grip/forearm strength as well as the ability to manage a very unusual (heavy) object with smooth form and explosive power. In this video Victoria Brooks easily handles a 50lb. med. ball for multiple reps. Id like to give a nudge for men to give it a try.
