The staff sat down with three NYCOM students, Alyssa and myself - TopicsExpress

The staff sat down with three NYCOM students, Alyssa and myself yesterday. They were receptive of what criticisms we had, and we brainstormed on ways to improve the future system. Nothing is set in stone, but there will be changes. There suggested system will give a slight advantage for Lutheran students to book electives when they roll out the next 6 months (January 2015-June 2015). The date for this is not available yet, but this next time around we will have more of an announcement. Ideally, they want a system where students will no longer be able to schedule multiple electives/all 6 months at one time. However, there will be opportunities for each student to do multiple electives at Lutheran. I will let people know more about the new system as it is finalized. It is crucial and very important that you go to lutheranmeded to see any announcements and/or updates for electives. The website is also important for announcements for daily changes such as lecture schedules. Also, this is the website to use to fill out the end of rotation surveys. The website is easily accessible through any smart phone, and you can do the survey in 5-10 minutes. They would like students to show the Thank you screen from your phone upon checking out of rotations. If you dont have access, then printing it out is still an option. If you have any questions or concerns , feel free to ask me or another clinical representative.
