The statements made by the speaker in this video reaffirm the negative stereotype of the selfish and arrogant American. He refers to the child migrants who are fleeing Central America and crossing American borders as freeloaders and the people of Central America as having made a mess of their country and are now wanting to steal America. The terms our country, our money, and our land are prominent throughout his speech. He fails to focus on the root causes of the influx of children from Central America, but says that rates of violence have always been high in these regions and that violence rates have actually decreased. The underlying causes of societal issues need to be understood and mind sets about how to deal with these issues need to change! Ignorance is not bliss!!
