The stories just keep coming. I wonder sometimes just how many we have had. 209 blankets, gloves, hats, scarves, and jackets we brought in today. Our TOTAL IS 1216 items contributed to the Cover Lafayette Project. The trash can and the old tattered box were empty this morning again but at 11:00 am the Angels were flying around dropping blankets, gloves, jackets,etc. I just couldnt keep up with the pictures. One of our friends who has not worked for 5 months got a blanket a few nights ago. This morning he made a donation himself. He had been given some jeans and other pieces of clothing that he said he didnt use so he brought them to share and put in the old tattered box for the friends of his that are homeless with him. All I can say is Wow. The pictures you are looking at are just a few of the Angels bring blankets and some who are receiving. A great surprise today was Christine Smith of Winimac, Indiana my long time friend of many years came down and brought us a load of blankets and she said she will be bring more. She truly has special wings. What can you say about a woman who drove down just to help all of us out. How lucky I am to have her for a friend. Her mission in life is to give and she never asks for anything herself. I received a message from a stay at home mother named Hannah. She wanted to bring her 3 children in at 6:00pm to give us 30 new blankets. I said I would wait on her. It was the best wait of my life. These 3 little kids came in trying to carry all the bags of the new blankets. Mom and Dad came to. They all said they were for the people who needed them. What can you say but I Love You. I admired the parents for letting those little ones come and be part of this. The Mother Hannah said she felt this was the right place for them to come. While they were there a man came in and said Thank You. I told him the children had brought blankets to share. He sang to them. I just wish you could have seen there little eyes. Caidyn, Adyson and Kaylee were just thrilled and as usual I had to turn and cry. Nothing more can I Say for that says it all.
