The story behind the ice bucket challenge... Some say this does not affect us in T&T or its a waste of water or if we donate we dont benefit here because its for the USA... Maybe all that is true at first glance, but where exactly do so many of us go when we cant get answers to medical questions locally? Why then do we hold endless BBQs or lunches, and boat rides, and other fund raising events using letters from medical institutions in the very US of A as evidence that the event is necessary? Where do some of our very own doctors go to further their skills in order to remain relevant or even specialise in practice? To each his own...
