Tragic, sad, these scammers are scum. ~Diana ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello everyone, Diana Branson referred me to this page and asked me to tell my story.... Where to begin.... Well around November of last year I logged into Facebook and had a friend request from an older woman. I didnt know her so I contacted her asking how she knew me. She said that she had a friend with the same name and that she hasnt heard from him in a bit and was wondering if it was me. I told her that I was sorry but it wasnt me. So I did a search of my name and right there in front of me was 2 other profiles using my name and photos. I tried contacting them both and 1 responded. He said that he would take down the profiles for $2000 USD. Then the older woman told me a story that he had tried to get some money from her to help out a friend. So we both ended up reporting the profiles and they were taken down. A few months go by and I decided to search my name again. Once again there were 2 profiles back up. Once again I reported them and they were taken down. Fast forward to last night.... I did a search of just my last name just to see if there were any profiles being used with my photos, and sure as hell there were about 23 profiles using my photos and my last name. None of them used my first name except for 1: Shawn Brown Filley. I reported that one but since there is no photos that I can see, it stays up and running. I reported all the profiles but only 3 were taken down. 3 damn profiles out of 23 were gone. All the rest stay up because they dont violate any policies. I contacted anyone I could see on the profiles as friends or followers that the profile is fake. I tried to contact all of them and 2 replied. I could tell it was the same guy on both. Once again he said for $2000 he would make them disappear. I have contacted the Military Police and they told me to take it to the civilian side so I did. They told me there was really nothing they could do either. Ive tried to contact Facebook with no luck since everything is automated and they dont seem to care. I even went as far as trying to contact Mark Zuckerberg himself but I know thats a dead end too. Im about to alert the local news station about the problem and maybe that will stir up a little fire to get this to stop. Who knows. I dont know how this person even got my photos to begin with since my profile is pretty locked down. Its distubing how people can do this to some else. I mean he used photos of my wife and daughter along with myself. It makes me sick. Ill list all the names below that I know of that are still up and running. There are many profiles up that dont have photos on them but Im sure its all him as well.
