The summit in Washington, DC between the US and African heads of states has come to an end and we are waiting to see the gains of the summit. But, one thing that caught my mind sure is the way some African leaders and businessmen hit out at American businessmen and some of its journalists with the way they view the motherland. Aliko Dangote, Africa most richest man worth over $25 billions hit out at American businessmen with their negative perception of Africa in a manner I loved. During the summit, he said the US businessmen always see Africa as a place of disease and no returns even though they have never been there. And that comment obviously caught the ear of the US businessmen. At one summit forum Tuesday, the moderator, journalist Charlie Rose, asked the president of Tanzania the following question “tell me what your fears are about the Ebola virus.” The clearly-miffed president of Tanzania, Jakaya Kikwete, retorted, “Right now the epidemic is in West Africa-Tanzania is in East Africa. … The whole of the African continent is being perceived as if everywhere, everybody is suffering from Ebola.” There is nothing more that gladdened my heart more than the hit out from Aliko Dangote and the response from the president of Tanzania. The Chinese have suddenly woken up the Americans from their slumber to see the vast opportunities, abundant in Africa and now they want to invest. It is always annoying the way the American media and the American Nation always blow things out of proportion when it comes to Africa. An American citizen wrote on yahoo news of his recent visit to Nigeria shortly after Mr sawyer brought the deadly Ebola virus to Nigeria, and end up making all sorts of ridiculous comments about my dear nation. He talked about imperialism and as if the Ebola virus originated from Nigeria and I gave it to him the way he never expected. He only threw one or two insults after I replied him the following; Your comments indicated that you hate Nigeria. Can Nigeria be a perfect place for a disaster of global proportions and not any other part of the world? Ebola did not start in Nigeria but the media has targeted Nigeria in this case to paint Nigeria bad AS YOU ARE DOING ALREADY. First, I have questions for you since you claimed that you went to Nigeria, What were you looking for in Nigeria? Who are the foreigners caught with their ships, stealing Nigerian crude oil? Who are the people buying oil through the back doors (black market) 2. When the Politicians steal public funds who keeps the money for them? (THE WHITMAN) OF COURSE in foreign banks. You are not ashamed that your great grandfathers came to West African Countries and took able men and women as Slaves for their own good. That was the worst evil of the West. What of the evil of colonization? Sorry. 3. In NIGERIA, how many foreign oil companies are there struggling for the oil and arming the local youths to fight their opponents thereby destroying the lives of the youth? Name them, Chevron, Shell, Mobil, Total, BP, Slumberger, Atlas Oil, Ashland oil, etc. Those oil companies get richer every day while the people are suffering and worst is the pollution that turned some communities to live in misery without compensation. Yes it is not corruption. I do not promote corruption, but people like you must also understand that your own corruption is holding Nigeria from growing. Yes, I agree that Nigeria is suffering from economic imperialism, but the days are coming when Nigeria will rise. IF you do not know, Ebola virus may be from the war materials sent to Liberia from the West and to some west African region. WHY. EBOLA WAS NOT IN LIBERIA BEFORE THE WAR
