The support I received during my campaign has been very encouraging to me and Im grateful to those who have supported me throughout the process. In the coming months, Ill be working together with Sheriff Doyle and Don Bell to ensure a smooth transition in January 2015. Ive been asked multiple times if Im planning to run again for Sheriff next time. The toll the election process takes on ones family and personal life can neither be expressed, or appreciated, without first undergoing the experience. For all of the positive experiences of campaigning, the reality of having your children come home from school or your spouse from the grocery store with yet another insult spoken to them by their ignorant peers, makes the process seem somewhat cruel to endure. So with that, I expect this is my last campaign for Sheriff. Being a Deputy Sheriff has always been a great career so far; being Undersheriff has been very rewarding and I only hope that Ill have left the Sheriffs Office in a better state than when I took over. I look forward to what the future Sheriffs Office will look like and turn to my community and future Sheriff to make it better than ever. Thank you again. Dan
