The surprises of life. Two young sisters, Patience (11 years old) and Prudence (14 years old) were taught a very old song by their mother at home. It was written by Billy Rose. In the summer of 1956, they were given money to go to the soda shop and with some money left over to go into a booth to make a record. They decided to sing the song taught at home. A neighhbour submitted the record after hearing it to a radio station. It was played. Within weeks over 600,000 copies were sold and the song went to number One.
