The tall woodsman stood at the front of the room, all around him, - TopicsExpress

The tall woodsman stood at the front of the room, all around him, sitting, waiting for him to speak were his companions..his friends...his family, but he had never felt so alone. He looked behind him at the ornate wooden casket, it was cherry, cut even and polished by his own hand, but under the boards...he knew what was there. A broken..half frozen corpse of a Shiverpeaks Ice Drake...Baxter. He turned back to face the room and laid his axes on the table. I have stood by many in battle, in labor, even in loneliness, but none like him. I got Baxter as little more than a flake of snow, on the ground outside the steading. Over the last thirty six years he..became more than a pet, he was my other half. Baxter he...he, you...you fought , when others ran, you stood when others cowered. You, were there, always, when the snow of the Shiverpeaks crashed down on us, while hunting the great worm, you were there, when the Sons of Svanir attacked crossroads haven, and we were seiged...for days. You were there. When nobody else dare come near, for fear of icebrood corruption coursing through my body, you..you tore apart half the lodge and fought passed many, of your own allies just to show me your eyes in support. Everyone knew... He turns around and lays a hand gently on the casket as tears start to form in his large green eyes that you would tear a frozen path through the entirity of Tyria, if...if it meant getting to me, and you did boy, i just wasent quick enough. He says letting one of his cherished axes clatter to the floor. Not even the pain of undeath could keep you from my side, there...in the cold catacombs of Ascalon, i know your spirit wont stay there. You will be waiting, at the gates of the spirits, for as long as time if needed my friend. However there will be more battles, more death before the end. I will fight along more companions, more friends, maybe even some enemies. There will be victory and defeat, and other things that are entrusted to my care, but i will always remember my first...my most loyal...and my last....true brother. The large norn strides quietly out of the room to hushed whispers, leaving his axes where they lie (an except from a speech i gave not too long ago in an RP) (about...a half an hour ago)
