The teachings of the modern Word of Faith Movement teaches that a person is in sin if they are not healed immediately. This teaching is devastating to the Christian who is physically or mentally sick and is not healed instantly. Does healing occur quickly? Yes, sometimes it can. But, it also occurs long-term; especially when there are generational curses and sicknesses from trauma or passed on from family members. The healing process is oftentimes long; to tell somebody they are in sin for remaining sick is completely and utterly destructive to the soul. Lets refer to the following: John 9:2-3 (NIV) His disciples asked him, Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind? Neither this man nor his parents sinned, said Jesus, but this happened so that the work of God might be displayed in his life. If you believe the WOF Movement alone and do not believe that God can and DOES use sicknesses/mental diseases for His glory; you are calling Jesus Himself a liar. It is time the bride of Christ begins to refer back to the Bible as all truth instead of what man or woman preaches. I am a fallible person so is every single person in ministry; we do not KNOW 100% truth- only the Word does. So, stop relaying on mans doctrine and start relaying on the Word. Question everything that seems un-Biblical; know the Word of God inward and outward. Study to show yourself approved. Man cannot save you, only Jesus can.
