so yesterday morning out of bed i go to plumb crazy in lansdowne. busy speaking to the guy behind the counter and this guy in his mid to late 40s looks at me as if he knows me. i ask him: do i know you? (he looked strangely familiar)...he tells me you are so and sos son. he was right, so now hes got me interested and i no longer think that hes a malletjie staring at me. Tells me his name is Ian and it turns out he was family of our neighbours from the time we lived in Sherwood Park (so he knew me at the age of 3/4 already into my early primary school days when they moved)..i thought to myself this guy has the memory of an elephant! i asked him whether he had a bike in those days and he said yes, but not anymore (i have no idea how i was able to recall that). i asked him so how did you remember me? and he said I still look kind of the same. just as i was about to leave, he decides to tell me a story that I cant even remember. He tells me when I was small my Mom bought me a Labarang suit and I wanted to wear them, so my Mom tells me you cant put them on, its for a Labarang and I then told her no, its not for Labarang, its for me :) when i got home,my Mom verified the story - and I think i even have a picture of me wearing it (will post some time).
