The then Fort Worth Panther Football Team was first formed in 1994 and was comprised of Public Safety Members from Mostly Police and Fire in Fort Worth, Tx....and played charity exposition games for local charitable organizations. The Team then expanded its name and roster to all Public Safety Workers throughout the DFW area in 1996 and changed the team name to the DFW Panthers Police & Fire Football Team. Shortly after these changes the team joined the National Public Safety Football League and then played Public Safety Teams across the Nation for Competition and Charity. The team also became a 501.c3 non-profit organization and donated its proceeds from game ticket sales to local charities each calendar season. Throughout its reign, the team had many well talented football players that came from Fort Worth PD & FD, Dallas PD & FD, Arlington PD & FD, Irving PD & FD, Tarrant Co Sheriff s Dept, Dallas County Sheriff s Dept and Many other Smaller Departments throughout the Metroplex. The team finally succeeded at winning its first Division II NPSFL National Championship in 2005 and went on to win its second Division II Championship in 2007. The team finally took a break after the 2008 Season and has been decommissioned since....
